AMA’s changed my life and many others with its blend of entrepreneurial training and an unmatched family atmosphere. Kudos to this amazing organization!
the Ateneo Debate Society has always made me proud to be an Atenean. 7 National and Asian Championships, 7th in the world (beating all the Ivy League of the US) – what more can we be proud of!!! Even our basketball team can’t compare to their achievements. They’ve always seemed to be encouraging our apathetic student body to become smarter with the Abstain Campaign, Chamber Debates and LS debates like Dela Costa Cup and Eco Debates. They have impressive members too! (love them as groupmates). Although alot of people think they’re a snob, I think they’re just misunderstood. ADS people you make me proud. IM YOUR NUMBER 1 SECRET FAN!!!!
The Ateneo de Manila College Glee Club, endorsed by the Department of Tourism as Cultural Ambassadors, achieved new heights when they wowed audiences across 5 countries in their 2.5-month long European Tour in 2006. The ACGC won all possible prizes in the 6th International Choir Competitions in Miltenberg, Germany, a first in the competition’s history. They also won 1st place in the Romantic Period Category, 2nd in Polyphonic Category, and the Public Prize in the Folk Category in the 54th Concorso Polifonico Internazionale “Guido d’Arezzo” in Arezzo, Italy. The ACGC was 1 of the 3 choirs, out of 25 choirs from all over the world, who qualified to compete for the much coveted representation of Arezzo to the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing.
I’m not a member of Kythe, but I am impressed with their one-day pet fair held just recently. Although Kythe’s intention was to promote pets as a therapy for stressed people, they have championed animal rights in an indirect way. It’s very rare for orgs to give the spotlight to animals. I think Kythe should do that pet fair again next year.
I WOULD JUST LIKE TO CORRECT THE ONE WHO POSTED THE COMMENT BELOW. I THINK THERE WAS A MISTAKE: WELL, HERE’S HIS/HER COMMENT: I’m not a member of Kythe, but I am impressed with their one-day pet fair held just recently. Although Kythe’s intention was to promote pets as a therapy for stressed people, they have championed animal rights in an indirect way. It’s very rare for orgs to give the spotlight to animals. IT WASN’T KYTHE, MY DEAR. IT WAS P-S-Y-C-H-E. ATENEO PSYCHE! THAT’S WHY IT WAS CALLED PSYCHOTHERAPETS. MAKE SURE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE RIGHT GROUP. THEY WORKED VERY HARD FOR IT. BUT I’M STILL GLAD YOU LIKED THE EVENT.
AND YES, I’M FROM PSYCHE. :)
