  1. i nominate Ms. Camille Kimberly V. Pilar. She has inspired a lot of people. No doubt she’s an excellent student (Magna cum laude candidate and only 19 years old! Youngest in Comm) and a definite achiever (she has worked as a fashion stylist, contributed to Heights and publications outside Ateneo, etc). And of course, we all know her for her edgy style. Four years of going after goal after goal and looking good while doing it. And yet she considers her greatest accomplishments to be her friendships and relationships with other people. she was a Flying SOSS-er last year (2007) and they were right to say that she has both substance and style. Camille is passionate about everything she does. Whether it be about philosophy or literature or simply the things in daily life, she has something profound to say. As Camille likes to say, “I look at life through the lenses of poetry.” I can’t explain it and this definitely does not do her justice but ask around. Ask her friends, her classmates, her teachers, ask yourself even. Camille’s made a difference in my life. she helped me become a better person. I know other people who can say the same. Most of all, Camille is sincerely humble. She means it when she says she’s not after glory. Everything she does is for God— “All For Jesus” as she often says. She has a brilliant mind and most of all, a brilliant heart. Four years in Ateneo and she’s grown a lot just as she’s helped other people grow with her. there are countless things to say about Camille and one thing is she truly deserves a space in this magazine. I’m doing this as a way of paying her back for all the knowledge and love she’s imparted. You just have to trust me on this. Camille can make a difference. In fact she already has.

  2. I nominate Kei Cadelina. Idol namin siya! She’s multi-talented but she’s really humble. She manages her time well because she happens to get high grades even if she’s part of Blue Babble. She’s also a good role model to her younger teammates because she constantly reminds them to prioritize their academics. She even takes time to help them with their studies even if she’s busy with her own. Despite her busy schedule, she makes time for training and bonding with her teammates. She values relationships above all things and she always looks out for her friends. Kei is someone we all look up to and I think most of the people in our batch admire her.

  3. Does Gadfly count as a luminary? Whoever it is, it did cause quite a stir in Ateneo this year.
